This case study highlights how Limitless Learning Solutions designed an online professional learning course to help educators strengthen instructional planning for online learning. The project focused on creating a structured learning experience that combined instructional design, guided practice, and follow-up support to help participants apply ideas in meaningful ways.
The course reflected an approach to professional learning design that went beyond information delivery alone. By combining modules, support meetings, and review of participant-created artifacts, the work created a more interactive and applied professional learning experience.
Client details have been generalized to respect organizational confidentiality.

This project focused on the design and delivery of an online professional learning course centered on the Four D’s of Planning Online Instruction. The course was structured to help educators think more intentionally about online instructional design while also providing opportunities for guided support and feedback.
The professional learning model included course modules, virtual support sessions, and review of participant-created artifacts so that educators could move from learning about the framework to applying it within their own instructional planning.
As online learning became a greater instructional priority, educators needed more than access to digital tools. They needed frameworks and support structures that could help them plan instruction intentionally within online environments.
This project was developed to provide a more structured professional learning experience that would help educators translate instructional design principles into practical planning decisions for online teaching.
The central challenge was to design a professional learning experience that would help educators build confidence and structure in online instructional planning rather than simply introducing isolated strategies or tools.
The work needed to create clarity around instructional design while also giving participants opportunities to apply the framework, receive support, and refine their planning through feedback.
Limitless Learning Solutions designed the course as an online professional learning experience built around the Four D’s of Planning Online Instruction. The design emphasized structured modules, practical application, and guided support so that the learning experience could move beyond passive information delivery into real instructional use.
The project incorporated multiple modules, virtual support meetings, and feedback on submitted artifacts to help participants connect the framework to their own planning and instructional contexts. The uploaded contract and invoices indicate the course included four modules, instructional deliverables, virtual support sessions, and review of participant artifacts delivered across two phases.
This project demonstrates how professional learning can be designed as a structured system that combines content, application, and support. Rather than relying on stand-alone training, the course created a more sustained model for helping educators engage with instructional design ideas and apply them in practice.
The case study also illustrates how online professional learning can be made more effective when participants are given a framework, opportunities to create and refine artifacts, and direct support as they work toward implementation.
